Germy germs

I’ve been a little under the weather lately. I’ve been fighting of something for the past couple of weeks and winning too, until my youngest came home last weekend with the sniffles. Then it was all downhill from there.

We spent Saturday at home. Just the boys and I, colouring in and loads of (crap) movies. I took advantage of a rare burst of energy in the morning and made some pumpkin soup – I knew by dinner time I wouldn’t feel like cooking.

The soup was great. The boys hated it.

Sunday morning started at about 3am with the youngest “sneaking” in to sleep in my bed. We gave up on sleep at 5am and went downstairs so I could annihilate a coffee. I felt better and we’d made some plans for the day, I was looking forward to getting out of the house.

Then the small one threw up all over the floor.

Good times.

Plans were cancelled.

Pretty much as soon as he’d stopped throwing up, he asked for breakfast. After an hour or so of his whinging I gave him some plain toast with a sniff of Vegemite (actually, he has the gluten free version called Brown Shite or something like that).

While he ate, I disinfected and Glen 20’d the bajeezus out of the house and put on a few loads of washing.

The eldest stumbled downstairs at around 7 am. He was standing there trying to wake up when the youngest proudly informs him “your standing on my sick”. I’ve never seen the big one move that fast.

Thankfully their was no more “sick”. But it was another day of colouring and (crap) movies.

And now the weekend is over.

Damn germs.

How was your weekend?

K xx
Ps. The finance people DID NOT laugh and I’m getting my pretty new car this week!!! Yipppeeee!!!!
