Check it out: #mumlifeproject

Here’s an understatement for you. Being a mum is a tough gig.

It can be the best thing, the hardest thing, the thing that makes you cry the most, love the hardest and the thing that makes you question and second guess everything. It can make you dance with joy one minute, then run and hide in a park with a bottle/box of something cheap and nasty (just me?) the next. It can bring the highest of highs and the lowest of lows and we wouldn’t have it any other way. It can be imperfectly perfect.

What gets us through? It can be friends and family, who will listen and talk and love and comfort. Sometimes it’s the little things that make all the difference when we’re down, something that lets us know that we’re doing ok, that we’re thought of, that we’re loved.

#mumlifeproject is a beautiful, wonderful idea based on the premise of supporting and loving one another. The concept is simple. Share your own story or that of a friend (or even a stranger), that is having a tough time and who you think needs a little love using the hashtag #mumlifeproject on Instagram (account @amyeshipp). Once a month, the beautiful Amy will select a worthy recipient (hard job!) and personally send them a gorgeous little gift pack filled with lovely treats.

You can also visit the site and purchase a pack for you to send to someone you feel needs it. Ranging from $25 to $100, #mumlifeproject has some amazing partners with generous hearts providing the goodies to fill the packs.

The project is completely not for profit and all monies go directly back into producing and sending the packs for the #mumlifeproject. If you’d like to donate to the project, you can do that too.

It’s such a beautiful idea – support, love and encourage. No more, no less. I love it.

K xx
